Getting Around The City

During Your Time In The City

While you're in Budapest, don’t forget to download the Budapest GO app!

It’s a game-changer for getting around the city. The app lets you use buses, trams, and the metro with just one ticket—making travel both easy and affordable.

It’s super simple to use and will help you navigate the city’s public transport system without any stress. Plus, you’ll get to explore Budapest like a local!

✈️ 🚌

Getting to the City Center from BUD Airport by Bus

Getting to the city centre is super easy! Here’s one of the best ways to do it:

🚌 Take the 100E Airport Shuttle Bus

The 100E is the quickest and most direct way into the heart of Budapest. It goes straight from the airport to key locations—including Deák Ferenc tér, which is perfect if you're staying nearby.

🕒 Runs every 20–30 minutes

⏱️ Travel Time: Around 35–40 minutes

💰 Ticket: 900 HUF (about £2)

You can buy your ticket at the vending machines inside the airport or via the BudapestGO app. The bus stop is right outside the terminal—easy to spot and even easier to use.

✈️ 🚕

Getting to the City Center from BUD Airport by Taxi

Skipping the bus? Treat yourself to a comfy taxi ride!

Bolt and Uber are available from the airport’s pick-up zone, or head to the official Főtaxi stand just outside the terminal.

🕒 Travel Time: About 30–40 minutes

💰 Cost: ~6,000–9,000 HUF (£13–£20), depending on traffic, time of day, and destination

💳 Cash or card? Both work—just confirm with your driver. Most drivers speak some English, and the ride into the city is super easy. You'll be relaxing at your hotel before you know it!

We can't wait to welcome you to Budapest! 🇭🇺❤️
